Research
Interests
My research interests lie primarily in the fields of EU public law and migration law, with a particular focus on European policies on migration and asylum.

My Ph.D. research project is focused on the analysis of the
role of third-country nationals' agency in putting into practice the principle of solidarity governing the EU migration policy. Looking specifically at the Ukrainian humanitarian crisis response, the project will outline an alternative migration management model centred on a multilevel and multi-actor solidaristic approach.

In presenting its findings, the project will acknowledge the predominance of a securitarian approach in the current migration policy, especially in light of the recent reforms pursued by the New Pact on Migration and Asylum and put into practice in the context of "instrumentalisation". Against this background, a solidaristic approach which takes into account the desires and aspirations of third-country nationals will be presented as a more legally sound and efficient solution.
